The South of France: On Film
It’s no secret that I have a soft spot for France. It’s the first overseas country that I ever spent an extended amount of time in, and I fell in love with the culture during that time. Needless to say, when I got to go back last year I was ecstatic.
These are my film photos from that trip last year.
Once we collected our third friend at the train station, we hopped on a train for Cassis.
To be honest, we chose this dreamy seaside town based on Pinterest photos. I sent three photos of three different towns to my friends without telling the names of the towns and asked them “which one”.
They both picked the photo of Cassis, and the decision was made.
Cassis lived up to its photos. I felt like I was wandering around a postcard. We spent a few relaxing days there exploring the pastel-colored streets and laying on the beach. It was the perfect start to our French holiday.
After Cassis, we headed to Aix-en-Provence, a larger town in the heart of Provence famous for its markets and fountains.
We were in Aix on my birthday, and I had the loveliest French birthday. It started in this sidewalk cafe. Can you spy French Courtney?
There are few things I love more in life than exploring beautiful markets and having coffee with my best friends. Aix was an incredible place, and I highly recommend a visit if you love these things as well.
Until next time, France. <3
