Solo Trip to NYC: Film Photos
I know I’ve mentioned both my love for New York and my film camera a couple of times before on this blog. Well this trip combined the two, and it was a dream.
I took an early flight and landed right before lunchtime. After I grabbed a train into the city, I headed straight to the High Line. My heart was leading me to tacos (as per usual). But what a gorgeous walk to lunch!
Little Island had been on my travel must-see list since it opened. I was blown away. It was the most thoughtfully created park I have seen in quite some time: every curve of the land, every peek between (native) plant, every opening between the pylons boasted a thoughtfully framed view of the city. Needless to say, I got lost here for a while, and it was a highlight of my trip.
Other highlights also included sitting on park benches, people watching, and eating so many delicious foods.
My time spent wandering through the MoMA was also so enjoyable. This museum is full of treasures, and whiled away a lovely afternoon here admiring art, snapping photos, and doing some more people watching.
The moral of the story? Take yourself on a solo trip to NYC and just wander around that glorious city. You won’t be disappointed.
