Monique: Portraits on a Ferry.

I love shooting portrait sessions in meaningful locations. Whether it’s a simple background for a short head shot session or a dramatic background for a longer portrait session, the location matters so much.
For Monique taking the ferry from downtown Seattle to Bainbridge, WA was the perfect way to celebrate her city.

I mean honestly, these portraits are insane. The soft Pacific Northwest light, the city peeking out every once in a while, the industrial ferry, and the gorgeous lady who just worked it.

That ferry ride is one of the most beautiful, simple day trips I have ever taken. Starting in downtown Seattle, you get a gorgeous view of the city. Then, as you cross Puget Sound, you may see sail boats, sunrises, the Olympic Mountain Range, or even a whale. On the other side, the smaller town of Bainbridge offers a sweet little downtown to walk around and maybe grab some ice cream. Truly, I would recommend this day trip just for fun even if you’re not taking photos .
