Dreaming of France
There’s something so special about a getting to know a new place. I am fascinated by different cultures; I love finding a local cafe in a new place to sit and people watch; and there is nothing I would rather do than spend a day walking around a new city.
These are my memories from when I got to know France.
The small French towns, the daily trip to the bakery, the bridge we walked across to get to the studio, the language, the outdoor markets where we bought vegetables for the week. I fell in love.
Not only is this country beautiful, the French way of life is so beautiful.
France, you dreamy country, you.
I was in France to study art, but I learned so much more. I learned the importance of slowing down. I learned to have an aversion to looking at my phone when someone was talking to me. I learned to see the beauty in simple daily routines. I learned you can never have too many croissants. And I learned that I love to experience new cultures.
