Me: Updated Headshots for the New Year
When I was in college, one of my art professors told me something I’ve never forgotten. She believes it’s quite important for an artist to do a self portrait every year. She spoke of how important it is to recenter yourself and sit with your own image. It reminds you of who you are in a way. Plus, you get visual documentation of how you change over the years. She challenged me to take up the practice of a yearly self-portrait, and I will never forget this advice. So here is my 2022 self portrait.
Honestly, this year my portrait reminded me of who I am. Creative, boss-lady, photographer, designer, always ready to laugh, able to wear many hats, lover of life. If a simple headshot can remind oneself you who they are: I say book your session now!
For professional use, I always make sure clients walk away with options. I will use the above portraits interchangeably for professional headshot reasons. Sometimes you just want to mix it up and use different photos on different platforms. I get that!
I also understand that it takes lots of shots to get “the one”. We will take the time to get the shot! To prove it, I’ve included all of my outtakes below. These photos are all good (I do cull the bad ones so you never have to see that), but the first ones above are outstanding. “The ones” if you will.
As always, if you want me to take your picture, drop me a note!
