PDX: Adventures in Portland, Oregon
Ahh, beautiful Portland, Oregon: Rose City as it is so aptly nicknamed. A day spent wandering around this cozy city is a day well spent. Portland is filled with bookstores, coffee shops, parks, quirky neighborhoods and so many good restaurants.
Honestly some stereotypes exist for a reason. The Portland coffee shop hype is real, and I say, drink as much coffee as you can when you’re here. From Coava, to Proud Mary, to Stumptown, to Barista, to Heart, you truly can’t go wrong in this caffeinated town.
Some more Portland hype that is real? Powell’s City of Used Books. It is truly a bookworm’s heaven. An entire city block of bookstore? Plus it is several stories tall? Yes, please!
I can’t even begin to touch on all the good restaurants in this city. It is a place that truly celebrates taste and food trucks and different cultures’ food and fusion, and I can tell that chefs here allow their imaginations to run wild. I will leave it at this: eat the Por Que No tacos pictured above because why not?
Oh, I cannot forget to mention this city is brimming with good breweries, fun wine shops, and the coolest speakeasy ever: Multnomah Whiskey Library. Oregonians definitely know how to share good drinks and conversations in epic environments.
